This year we’ve seen some major comebacks from Carly Rae Jepsen to Tiger Woods but I don’t think anything could’ve prepared us for mules and bell bottoms to hit the streets again after 1999.
Take a look at all the fashion comebacks for the year with our look book of outfit trends from way back that are making their way back into festivals and nightclubs nation wide and we’ll be shocked if you haven’t worn at least one in the past 6 months.
1. Cowboy hats
The universal ‘girls’ night out’ staple piece of 2019.
2. Bishop sleeves
Same sleeves just a little less fabric this time around.
3. Oversized coats
Trade the heels for sneakers and you’ve got yourself a bomb outfit.
4. Flare jeans
If you told us in 2018 that flare jeans would make a comeback we would’ve questioned your sanity. But 2019 … you’d be lying if you haven’t worn or thought about wearing them.
5. Turtle necks
The classic turtle neck also known as a skivvy has made its way back into our wardrobes this winter and we’re not mad.
6. Plaid sets
Yellow picnic rug, but make it fashion. We’ve seen this trend smash our Insta feeds this year.
The style icon of the 90’s bringing yet another trend back for 2019.
8. Chunky headbands
Trade in your oversized hair clips and get yourself one of these big boys, the perfect accessory for any day outfit.
Don’t be throwing out your mum’s hand-me-down cardi just yet, this trend is the cutest/comfiest comeback of the year.
10. Tinted lens glasses
Oops we did it again …
11. Tiny handbags
The classic look of the early ’00s. Most commonly paired with a flip phone and some loud ass clunky mules. If you didn’t have one of these baby bags were you even a style icon?
Now all we’re waiting for is velour Juicy tracksuits and acid wash, low rise jeans to start making their way into 2019 … Please no.
